The Dolli lies in the heart of Athens’ old town, a few steps from the Acropolis. Grecotel restored a townhouse more than a hundred years old and added a pool and a restaurant on the roof, facing the Parthenon. You fly business class with Aegean Airlines and spend three nights at the hotel. If you would like to visit an island before or afterwards, we will be happy to arrange it.

DAY 1

Flight to Athens

Business class scheduled flight from Germany to Athens with Aegean Airlines. Transfer to The Dolli in the old town and time to settle in, with the illuminated Acropolis in view from the roof terrace in the evening.

Two days in Athens

The Acropolis is right on your doorstep, and so are the lanes of the old town. In between there is time for the rooftop pool and dinner at DOLLI·S. We are happy to arrange a guided tour of the Acropolis, a trip to Cape Sounion or a day on the Athens Riviera.

In the historic heart of Athens, between Plaka and Monastiraki, lies one of the most remarkable city hotels in Europe. The Dolli occupies the Villa Kallimasioti, a listed neoclassical mansion from 1925. It was carefully restored over seven years and reopened in 2023 as an exclusive “Hôtel-Maison”. The Acropolis, Plaka and the Acropolis Museum are all within walking distance.

Rooms & apartments

Only 46 rooms, suites, apartments and pieds-à-terre create a personal, quiet atmosphere. High ceilings, grand arches and light-filled rooms meet contemporary art and bespoke design. The apartments connect up to six rooms and are ideal for families and friends. It feels more like being a guest in a private Athenian residence than in a hotel.

Rooftop & dining

The highlight is the rooftop: from the infinity pool and the restaurant DOLLI·S with its Greek-inspired cuisine you look straight at the Acropolis, most beautifully at sunset when the Parthenon glows golden. In the afternoon the library serves afternoon tea. In the evening Le Bar Secret awaits among art and rare books, for instance with its signature cocktail “The Dolli” made with Greek mastiha.

Spa & recognition

The spa and fitness area are reserved for hotel guests. The MICHELIN Guide awarded The Dolli two MICHELIN Keys in 2025, and according to the hotel it was rated the best hotel in Athens in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2026. ENTRY & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

As of: 17 September 2026. Greece is part of the EU and the Schengen Area, and German citizens do not need a visa. A passport, provisional passport, ID card, provisional ID card or children's passport is sufficient for entry; apart from the provisional ID card, the documents may have expired no more than a year ago. The same document is needed for the flight home. There are no compulsory vaccinations. Travellers with German statutory health insurance should bring their European Health Insurance Card, which covers urgent treatment; medical care is good on the mainland and more limited on the smaller islands. We still recommend travel health insurance that includes repatriation. Imports and exports follow EU rules: defence sprays are prohibited, and antiquities and archaeological finds may only be taken out of the country with permission from the Ministry of Culture. Payment is in euros. Pickpocketing is common in Athens and Piraeus, above all during the travel season and in busy places.

How much luggage am I allowed to bring?

What happens if flight times change?

We inform you immediately by email as soon as we're notified of a change.

PAYMENT & PROTECTION

How much is the deposit?

As a rule, the deposit is 20% of the trip price. For peak-season dates it may be higher; this will be stated in the respective offer. For non-refundable special-fare flight tickets, the deposit may also be higher, as the ticket must be paid in full immediately.

When is the balance due?

As a rule, 30 days before departure. We'll point out any deviations already at the time of booking.

How do I pay for my trip?

Payment is conveniently made by bank transfer.

Is my trip protected by a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence)?

Yes. As a German tour operator we are legally obliged to protect your trip with a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence). Fly Unique has a contract with the R+V Versicherung. You will receive your insurance certificate automatically with your booking confirmation.

Do you recommend a travel cancellation insurance?

We generally recommend travel cancellation insurance and are happy to advise you on suitable options.

Are rebookings or cancellations possible?

When will I receive my travel documents?

You'll receive your booking confirmation immediately after booking, and the complete travel documents no later than two weeks before departure.

FOR PILOTS

I'd like to fly myself. What do I need?

Send us a copy of your pilot's license. We'll then support you with the license revalidation and inform you about all the documents required for it.

Which aircraft is right for my trip?

We're happy to advise you on the choice, whether for flying yourself, joining as a passenger, or a trip by private plane or private jet.

Do you assist with route planning and permits for pilot trips?

Yes, we're happy to handle route planning and support you with any permits that may be required.

FAMILY & SPECIAL REQUESTS

Can allergies or dietary preferences be reported in advance?

Yes. We're happy to pass on your allergies and dietary preferences to the airline and hotel in advance.

Can we bring our children?

I'm pregnant. Can I still travel?

In principle, traveling is possible with an uncomplicated pregnancy up to week 34/35; the second trimester (weeks 14 to 28) is considered ideal. The exact rules vary by airline: many require a medical certificate of fitness to fly from week 28 onward, and most airlines decline to carry passengers from week 36 onward. Feel free to reach out. We'll check individually for your airline and route how your desired trip can be arranged.
